Great Smoky Mtn NP Trip

Trip #?... The Great Smoky National Park is quite an attraction along the Appalachian trail. Clingman's Dome is the 2nd highest peak in the East at over 6,600 ft. We will start at Cosby Campground and hike South to Fontana Dam. We really crossed a new boundary in lightweight backpacking on this trip with base pack weights at 15 lbs each. That's a long ways away from the ~30 lb packs and heavey food/water loads we carried 10 years ago.
